Pastoral
Sunbury Methodist Church is able to provide pastoral care, to be a listening ear and to provide support and encouragement to those Church members on their pastoral list. This can also include being visited by the pastoral carer or minister for those who are sick and in hospital, nursing home or in their own home. It's all about keeping in touch and not letting those who can't make to church, for what ever reason, not feel that the church has forgotten them.
Part of their role is to encourage the practice of fellowship through Prayer Cells or Home Groups and other groups among all members of the church family.
All information shared with the pastoral carer is strictly confidential as much of this may be sensitive and personal. If appropriate, information will only be passed on to others with the consent of the Church member concerned.
